Olympia's Traffic Box Wrap Project turns traffic boxes found on sidewalks & street corners into a collection of public art pieces.
Help choose the 2023 Traffic Box Wraps by submitting your vote on Engage Olympia (you must register to vote but you do not have to be a resident of Olympia, WA). Voters can choose 3 of their favorites from the seventy-two wraps submitted by local artists of all ages. I am happy to have my painting, Day's Edge, as one of the potential wraps. And I would appreciate your vote! Voting is through February. At the end of the February voting month, the ten images with the most votes are printed as vinyl canvases and installed on traffic boxes around town. Selected artists receive a $500 honorarium for the use of their artwork image. Winning Traffic Box Wraps will be announced in spring 2023 and installed this summer. Vote here! |
